“Not every story has a happy ending… but the discoveries of science, the teachings of the heart, and the revelations of the soul all assure us that no human being is ever beyond redemption. The possibility of renewal exists so long as life exists. How to support that possibility in others and in ourselves is the ultimate question.” ― Gabor Maté
Anxiety is on the rise in our culture today.
So many people are struggling with stress and feelings of fear on a daily basis.
Generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety are the most common forms of anxiety, but many people are experiencing an increase in specific phobias and panic disorder as well.
There are many reasons for this increase, and anxiety treatment must consider a spectrum of possible causes, including childhood trauma, shaming self-talk, hormonal imbalances, and lifestyle factors… just to name a few.
When anxiety goes unchecked…
Anxiety has a detrimental effect on our physical health, especially when left untreated over the long term. It can be a highly physical experience, causing tightness in the chest, tension headaches, shortness of breath, and difficulty sleeping.
Unfortunately, our culture normalizes anxiety in many ways. Being stressed out and overworked is sometimes viewed as proof of our own worthiness, even though anxiety steals our peace of mind and our ability to enjoy life. This makes us less effective in all areas.
Freedom comes from getting to the root of it.
One reason I am so passionate about the holistic treatment of anxiety is because of my own struggle and healing in this area. I know from personal experience you can find freedom from crippling anxiety and experience a deep sense of well-being.
While a totally stress-free life is not possible or even desirable, relief is within reach.
My clients not only learn powerful, individualized tools to help when the inevitable stressors do arise, but they also are guided to the root causes of stress and fear through compassionate self-inquiry. This will allow you to finally cultivate the sense of safety needed to experience life as the exciting adventure it is.
Healing our anxiety requires a shift in our relationship with ourselves.

Trauma is a concept that is often misunderstood.
We typically think of trauma as a specific event associated with physical danger or violence, such as physical abuse. This certainly qualifies as a traumatic event, but trauma can also be much more complicated. I have yet to meet a client who has not experienced some sort of emotional trauma in his or her life.
Trauma is also highly subjective. A break-up or divorce is highly traumatic for many people. A particularly humiliating experience can have a lasting traumatic impact on many. Living in a high-stress environment can be traumatic as well.
This doesn’t mean you have post-traumatic stress disorder; it does mean that you can benefit from trauma-focused treatment.
Healing trauma through “brainspotting”…
Trauma is stored in our deep brain, in the subcortex. When we engage in traditional talk therapy, we are not directly accessing that part of our brain. Talk therapy is very powerful but has its limitations when it comes to healing trauma.
Brain-based psychotherapies, however, like brainspotting, access the deep brain to process and release trauma and the impact it has on us.
Brainspotting does this by using eye position. Where we look impacts how we feel. Through the use of eye positions, or brainspots, I can access deeper brain and body processes to bring you lasting healing.
It may sound a bit strange, but my clients report dramatic results for those nagging symptoms that don’t seem to go away simply by understanding or talking about them.
Brainspotting is a powerful tool when you feel stuck and don’t know how to make the changes you desire. It is also an excellent tool for optimal performance in sports, public speaking, or business.
I’m here for you.
When you think of your journey toward a life where you’re not suffering the effects of past trauma… know that you’re not in it alone. Therapy has helped many heal, and it can help you, too.
